1. Incorporation of Universal Privacy Policy
This document sets out the specific terms, data collection, and integration policies that apply to the Braidzo Rewards application.
Braidzo Rewards is a product of Braidzo Labs. Consequently, this policy incorporates and implements all baseline conditions, legal guidelines, and data principal rights defined in the full Braidzo Labs Universal Privacy Policy. Please consult the universal policy to learn about general data transfer rules, security measures, and DPDP Act compliance.
2. Information Collected and Used by Braidzo Rewards
2.1 Phone Number Verification
After creating a Braidzo Rewards account, you may be required to provide and verify a valid phone number before your account can be activated for continued use of the Braidzo Rewards service.
We collect your phone number for purposes including:
- Verifying that you have access to the phone number associated with your account.
- Protecting accounts against unauthorized access and misuse.
- Preventing fraudulent registrations and abuse of the Braidzo Rewards service.
- Helping prevent the creation and use of multiple accounts for improper or fraudulent purposes.
- Maintaining the security and integrity of our rewards program.
2.2 Mandatory Phone Verification
Phone verification is a requirement for maintaining an active Braidzo Rewards account and accessing the rewards service. You may create an account before providing your phone number; however, you must subsequently provide and verify a valid phone number within the specified verification period.
We may use an OTP or another appropriate verification method to confirm that you control the phone number provided.
2.3 Seven-Day Verification Period
After account registration, you will have up to 7 days to complete the required phone number verification.
If your phone number is not verified within 7 days of account registration, your account may be automatically deleted as an unverified account.
Before deletion, we may provide a reminder or notice where appropriate. Once an unverified account is deleted, you may register again in accordance with the then-current Braidzo Rewards registration requirements.
2.4 Deletion of Unverified Accounts
When an unverified account is deleted, Braidzo Rewards will delete the personal data associated with that account that is no longer required for the purposes for which it was collected, subject to any data that we are required or permitted to retain under applicable law.
We do not intend to retain personal data from an unverified account indefinitely when it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.
2.5 Phone Number Use
Your phone number may be used for account verification, security, fraud prevention, account-related communications, and other purposes disclosed to you at or before the time the information is collected.
We will not represent that your phone number is collected for a particular purpose and then use it for an unrelated purpose without an appropriate legal basis or disclosure.
2.6 Phone Number Security
We take reasonable measures designed to protect phone numbers and other personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, or misuse.
Access to phone-number information is limited to purposes reasonably necessary for operating, securing, and supporting Braidzo Rewards and to service providers or other parties where their involvement is necessary and permitted under applicable law.
2.7 Phone Number Modification and Removal
You may change or update your linked phone number at any time if needed, subject to completing the required verification on the new phone number.
However, once a phone number is linked to your account, you cannot remove or unlink it while maintaining an active account, as a verified phone number is mandatory for account security and integrity. To remove your phone number completely from our records, you must request the deletion of your account.
Please note that deleting your account results in the permanent loss of all accumulated BRZ credits, streak data, and reward balances. We do not restore, transfer, or credit previously earned balances to any new or subsequent account.
2.8 Location Permissions
To deliver region-locked rewards, check compliance with state regulatory limits, and display tailored advertisements, we may collect:
- Geographical Region
- Approximate Device Location
2.9 Rewards & Related Activity
To administer credit balances, verify legitimate earning patterns, and facilitate redemptions, we track:
- Streak dates
- BRZ credits and transactions
- Purchased/redeemed gift card details
3. Third-Party Integrations & Advertising
To support free-tier credit earnings, display interactive ads, and monitor mobile app performance, Braidzo Rewards integrates the following tools:
Google AdMob
Used to display in-app video and banner ads. AdMob utilizes your device identifiers and location data to deliver relevant ads.
Firebase Analytics
Evaluates application crashes, app performance diagnostics, navigation events, and tracks metrics to improve feature layout.
Data Collected by Ad partners
These third parties may automatically collect device details (OS version, model parameters, screen resolution), IP addresses, mobile advertising identifiers (e.g. Google Advertising ID), and app navigation logs to deliver ads and catch abuse.
4. Account Deletion & Data Rights
4.1 Permanent Deletion Policy
If you decide to close your account (such as to remove your linked phone number), we will erase all profiles, streak data, unused credit balances, and transaction logs. In compliance with the DPDP Act 2023, data is completely purged except for elements we are legally bound to hold (e.g. for audit trails or anti-fraud checks). All forfeited credits and streak data cannot be restored or credited to a new account.
For accounts that are automatically deleted because the required phone number verification was not completed within the applicable 7-day verification period, we will delete the personal data associated with the unverified account that is no longer required for the purposes for which it was collected, except for information we are legally required or permitted to retain.
